David will be working at the Canton Historical Society this Saturday, February 16 at 10am. I'll be working until 1pm. I think the goal for Saturday will be to finish up the high level appraisal of the rest of the collection, the top three shelves. If we finish that, we can look at creating several record series that will work for Liz at CHS. Let me know if you are interested in attending this weekend (Ann Arbor students may want to use the SAA website or the CTools site to set up a ride. I'll be coming from Detroit, so I won't be able to drive this time). I hope to see you there.
Come and listen to a talk given by Mary Jo Pugh, the editor of American Archivist. More information as it becomes available. Light refreshments will be provided.
Speaker: Dr. Mark Langemo, CRM, FAI
Topic Description: "Establishing and Managing Successful Records Management Programs". Dr. Langemo’s all day conference will provide four sessions including:
(1) Winning Strategies for Establishing and Strengthening RM Programs (2) Developing Legally-Valid Records Retention Programs

The Questioning Authority conference registration due date is this
Wednesday, March 12th. We have planned a robust and valuable program,
which will only be made stronger by SI student participation and
discussion. We are hoping you will pass this information on to your
student groups, and register yourself as officers. The following list
represents events particularly valuable to your student group members:
* The Job Search Workshop
* Tour of the Ford Presidential Library
* Tour of the Bentley Historical Library
* Opening Reception - Paul Courant
