Florentine Art and Culture

While technically not an internship...it is somewhat ARM related... This summer I will be taking a three week course entitled Florentine Art and Culture: Resources and Documentation. The course is an International program held in Florence, Italy - offered through Pratt Institute SILS in collaboration with Italy's Biblioteca Nazionale and Uffizi Library. As described on its website "class time will be divided between the study of art and artifacts, cultural landscape, art documentation and bibliographic resources." The course will include field trips to various libraries, museums, monuments and publishing houses and ends with a final project which will produce an exhibit catalog/resource guide based on research done during the course. Needless to say, I am extremely excited to be one of the 16 students chosen to participate!
