[note: unclear if this internship is paid or unpaid]

The Archive at Democracy Now!, http://www.democracynow.org, is
seeking applications for spring 2008 internships. The archive is a
audiovisual archive containing approximately 50,000 media items and a
research library within a non-profit, independent news organization.
The archive's collection contains field recordings, oral histories,
recordings of news events, and related independent news material from
the mid-eighties until the present and serves internal news
production and outside archival requests through active cataloguing,
collection management, access and audiovisual preservation.

Internship:
Interns will be responsible for processing collections, re-housing
archival materials, cataloguing, research, video ingest, analog to
digital audio conversion, and creating online educational resources
from archival material. This is an excellent opportunity for those
interested in pursuing a career in media archives or a busy newsroom
environment.

Please feel free to contact David Rice at dave@democracynow.org for
more information about specific intern projects available.
